On Wednesday 27th September, three children from years 5 and 6 represented Milton Court at a district cross country event. The children had to run 3km on different terrains. Year 5 girls were first to race. Kyrah took it in her stride and placed at an excellent 6th out of approximately 25/30 girls. Then was the turn of the year 5 boys. Kyle showed real resilience and finished the race without even breaking out into a sweat, making us extremely proud of his achievement.
Finally it was the year 6 girls turn to pound the ground. From the off, Keira was ready and showing a real determination to do well. For the start of the race, she was second but then came into her own moments later. She held a very comfortable lead for the rest of the race. With very loud cheering, she crossed the finish line, placing first, with a beaming smile on her face.
All the children were absolutely amazing! And as always, were a credit to the school with their attitude, behaviour and sheer determination to achieve the very best that they possibly could.
Mrs Willy and Mr Moore would like to thank the children for a fantastic afternoon.
